Emily Dickinson Life’s Emily Dickinson was an American writer that changed the way people view poetry, females’ authors, and symbolism. Her work are celebrated the world over for their simplicity, beauty, and imagery. Also her life is very well-known and a topic of interest for millions of people around the world. Emily Dickinson was a very influential poet and will be remembered in history forever. Dickinsons poetic accomplishment was known from the moment her first volume appeared in 1890, but never has she loved more approval than she does today. As soon as Thomas H. ended her complete body of 1,775 poems available in his 1955 variorum edition, The Poems of Emily Dickinson, concern from all quarters soared. Readers instantly discovered a poet of colossal depth and stylistic convolution whose work eludes categorization. For example, though she frequently employs the common epic poem meter associated with hymnody, her poetry is in no way inhibited by that form; rather she performs like a jazz artist who uses rhythm and meter to modernize readers perceptions of those structures.
